Street Improvements - 1997/1998
for
Clemson, South Carolina

Client
City of Clemson
Clemson, South Carolina

Scope
Preliminary design, final design, bidding, and construction administration services to widen and add sidewalks to five streets in the City of Clemson.  The widening of several streets will incorporate the addition of bicycle lanes.  The construction work will be coordinated with Clemson University’s class schedule to avoid congested times of the year.  The project involves a public hearing to inform affected adjoining property owners.  Relocation and/or coordination with all major utilities is required. The project also involves storm drainage design and improvements within the right-of-way of several streets.  Due to budget constraints only one of the five projects has been completed to date.  Wiggington Street was widened and repaved including curb and gutter, bicycle lanes, traffic calming (speed control) devices, storm drainage and sidewalks.

Cost
$110,000

Completed
