Scope
Preliminary
design, final design, bidding, and construction administration services
to widen and add sidewalks to five streets in the City of Clemson.
The widening of several streets will incorporate the addition of
bicycle lanes.
The construction work will be coordinated with Clemson
University’s class schedule to avoid congested times of the year.
The project involves a public hearing to inform affected
adjoining property owners.
Relocation and/or coordination with all major utilities is
required. The project also involves storm drainage design and
improvements within the right-of-way of several streets.
Due to budget constraints only one of the five projects has been
completed to date.
Wiggington Street was widened and repaved including curb and
gutter, bicycle lanes, traffic calming (speed control) devices, storm
drainage and sidewalks.
