Scope
Preliminary design, final design, bidding, and construction administration services to dismantle and dispose of an existing timber bridge structure over abandoned railroad right-of-way and construction of an earthen embankment in place of the bridge.  Demolition and disposal included existing road surface, curb and gutter, and concrete sidewalk.  Regrading of the bridge approaches and realigning the intersection of Railroad Street and Chiquola Avenue was required.  The project included construction of new asphalt roadway, concrete curb and gutter, and concrete sidewalk. Also included was construction of a section of 8 inch waterline within the project limits, installation of metal guardrail along the newly constructed embankment, and grassing of disturbed areas following construction.
